Wild Lily Holistic Health

Disease is solely and purely corrective; it is neither vindictive nor cruel, but it is the means adopted by our own souls to point out to us our faults, to prevent our making greater errors, to hinder us from doing more harm, and to bring us back to the path of Truth and Light from which we should never have strayed.

Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936), founder of the Bach Flower Essences

Western medicine considers the patient as a passive entity to be made compliant.

James Greenblatt, MD, Integrative Medicine for Binge Eating, with Virginia Ross-Taylor, PhD (2019)

The victim is undeserving of succor.

Peggy Claude-Pierre, The Secret Language of Eating Disorders (1997).

Conversely, faith, hope, love and thanksgiving are remedies, counterweights, to the victim complex in which we sometimes are at risk of becoming entangled.

Jaques Philippe, The Way of Trust and Love: A Retreat Guided by St. Therese of Lisieux.

And blest be Beauty, that enchants
The frail, the solitary lance.

About Functional Medicine

Functional Medicine allows for an improved outcome, and successful results by the practitioner in response to your health goals, and in resolving chronic complaints.

Functional Medicine is a form of holistic practice that utilizes advanced forms of biochemical and nutritional testing. See some of the forms of testing we use here.

Functional Medicine as a practice provides you with improved results, superior communication, and effective information about your nutritional and genetic state.

The failure of natural medicine and nutrition fields to resolve underlying causes of nutritional symptoms, diseases, or conditions lies in the lack of definitive knowlege about what the specific cause is.  More and more, we are seeing the need for further education of classically trained practitioners on using orthomolecular and functional medicine, and the focus on the biochemical individuality of the patient. Because each patient is a separate and unique entity, the cause of each disease or condition is unique to that person`s bichemistry, and environment or stressors. Here, no condition is psychosomatic. All have their roots in measurable and testable biochemical causes that can be assessed and worked on.

Biochemical individuality is a tenet of functional medicine. No two people are the same; each patient much be approached with the potential for multiple measurable causes of deficient enzymes, vitamins, nutrients, and a surplus of toxins or overactive genes that could be influencing their symptoms, condition, behaviour or emotions.

The testing we provide at Wild Lily Holistic Health allows us to begin to measure and pinpoint the precise cause of what is influencing your condition and symptoms, instead of just guesswork. In the past we have had to rely on consulting research that has applied to a number of individuals with the same condition for an educated guess.

We are looking for commited clients who are willing to pay more to have these answers, and make a significant investment in their health over time to see the results we have come to expect. Your best health is our top priority and we invite you to make it yours too. Be the best version of yourself by having your best health.

Become our ideal client today and be willing to book more than one session to achieve lasting results in your healthcare!

Nutritionist and Practitioner Emily Isaacson

Emily Isaacson, is a Licensed Nutritionist and Functional Medicine Practitioner in the Fraser Valley. She has a degree in Nutrition from Bastyr University of Natural Medicine in Washington. She is a clinical nutritionist, also offering seminars. She is also trained in orthomolecular nutrition, and the effects of vitamin mega-supplementation on mental health.

Emily Isaacson has previously worked in eating disorder treatment centers in both Victoria and Seattle with great success. She has learned principles that work for turning eating disorder sufferers around, and quickly. She has spoken at secondary schools to teach teens about eating disorders. She is empathetic and practical, and her unconventional approach toward overweight, obesity, and binge-eating, helps clients who want to lose weight learn to accept themselves, raise their metabolic rates, and lose weight intuitively without being put on strict diets.

Emily Isaacson is the creator of a daily recommendation food site called The Rainbow Program. This program teaches clients to balance antioxidants for a colour-rich food plate. She implements the far-reaching principles of this program to help people understand the benefits of improving their health by avoiding food colouring, eating brightly coloured foods, balancing their antioxidant intake, and using colour healing by wavelengths to mediate aginst condition such as endogenous depression.

Emily Isaacson particularly appreciates the opportunity to work with clients who have auto-immune disease as she implements her research over 20 years on the building blocks for a healthy immune system. Emily will help you re-build your immune function using foods and supplements that are top of the line. When it comes to cutting-edge research, she is right in her assertions that people with ongoing chronic health concerns can find relief. Her scientific approach causes her to affirm that we can affect the next generation by eating right today.

Emily started her nutrition practice eighteen years ago in Maple Ridge, and now serves the Fraser Valley.  She seeks to inspire her clients with a positive outlook towards food, without labeling some foods "good" or "bad" and using a variety of proven and educated therapeutic approaches and therapeutic diets, instead of just calorie controlled diets.
